Bleu-Am-Bro-sia of PBR's density level and character is amazing and his overall phenotype is undeniable. Can you imagine the style and fleece that would be created in crossing a female of this type with him? This young male is a prime example of the reasons for that. Extreme density is packed in and the fineness is amazing. In scouting for a junior herdsire, I think it is ideal to have a male whose fleece is at a level where he could produce any color without sacrificing quality, while also having the ability to produce appaloosa/harlequin. He has one of those bright, soft fawn, elite fleeces with high amplitude, high frequency crimp that quite honestly takes your breath away. He has a true to-alpaca phenotype with outstanding coverage and a flawless macho head! Bleu Am-Bro-sia of PBR has the genotype and phenotype to take your breeding program to the very top.

Bleu Am-BRO-sia of PBR inherited his unique spots from his sire Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia who comes with genetics packed with Appaloosa and harlequin traits.Taupie is a striking appaloosa harlequin male that is on a roll for throwing spotted and harlequin offspring. He now has ~30 offspring on the ground and ~80 percent are either appaloosa or harlequin! While dam selection has a significant influence on such outcomes, it should be noted that the majority of the dams Taupie has been bred to have no genetic influence on this outcome. So for those that don't have existing foundation girls with appy / harlequin lineage-- Taupie has proven to be capable of passing along his appy genetics and produce desired results. Taupie's biopsy (September, 2016) results are in! Density: 53.6 mm; Secondary: Primary fiber ratio: 9.7:1; In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 25.3 microns / SD 4 microns; In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 21.1 microns SD 3.8. Bioposy sample was extracted by Ian Watt personally. He has a super long staple length (in the top 6% EPD 2016), with high frequency, medium amplitude crimp.

BMR Claire de Luna is crystal clear when it comes to her mothering instincts. She is a beautiful, perfect conformation, a doting mother, easy birther, one of the gentlest girls we've seen in our pasture. Her staple length and fleece weight are her strong points coming in at the top 25%!!
The fact that she was already presenting the spots plus a black over fawn genetic on her sire's side (Sierra Bonita's Teewinot), makes us feel confident that she can birth awesome appaloosas when bred to one.

Offspring-Many outstanding crias in his future!
